Skalní hrad Pařez
A small castle objective on the edge of Prachovské skaly. Instead of a large palace, the attention is drawn to the carved spaces and the remains of an ancient building.

Pařez can be found at Pařezská Lhota near the Prachovské rocks. Rooms carved into sandstone and remains of masonry have been preserved from the medieval castle. There are not many historical reports about it, so it is more honest to see it as a partially preserved trace than to tell a detailed story of all its inhabitants. It is the small scale that allows you to focus on what is really visible.
A short stop doesn't have to be just a ticked off point
Go around the site only in the safely accessible parts and compare the outline of the rock with the shapes of the carved spaces. Which edge is naturally occurring and which is regular? Such an observation will give content to the visit even without a long tour. If you are also heading to Prachovské skaly, do not rely on the fact that Pařez is automatically located on each of the visitor circuits there. First, check the specific continuity.
An idea for your day
An hour is a reasonable margin for a quiet stop at the target itself. Dedicate the longer part of the day to either Prachovské skále or Jičín, depending on the weather and the energy of the group. Add arrival and departure times separately.
